Forest Prayer

Mellow tones kiss foliage green
a binding token solid, clean

forest floor of mulch rich peat
ferns and pine cones beneath my feet

tropical fountains ocean's heir
proffers up a maiden's prayer

feet caressed by woodland grass
skip for joy unsurpassed

branches bow as ferns unfurl
succumb to warmth a glory pearl

defying the odds as man rapes the earth
hope...  faith... rain... sun... re-birth

Extreemly loud applause for this one Katie. I just loved it ...The last two lines say it all. Imagery bounces off the page.Somwhow someway Katie this beautiful planet regenerates and finds a way to carry on...Pity the human race can't give her a bit of a hand instead of slowly poisoning her.....Truly excellent love...Mega hugs...mal
