I see them walk, hand-in-hand,
Etching their love on the sand!
A sudden pang i feel
Envy-a malaise difficult to heal!
As the waves of memories sweep by my side
I realise, there is still some more time to bide!
Four long months of a pregnant pause
A battle we fight for love's noble cause!
As i see the sun, blushing red-
Eager to rest in its oceanic bed
I long for the arms that hold me tight
And beacon words that make my days bright!
As the sky reaches out to meet the sea
I wonder when such a union would be for me!
I close my eyes, and feel him near-
Sometimes this distance is too hard to bear!
As the birds back home, flock
i put my melancholy under key and lock!
Extended across the miles, my love may lay!
Yet, migrating hearts, always find a way!

i have been in a long distance relationship now for over eight months.....the guy i love is studying away from where i live.....and we have to wait for four months to meet because that is when his semester ends. but i realise i have gained a lot from this equation, a lot of patience, for instance !
and yeah it is as beautiful, perhaps even more, as it was when we were both here
