Cupcakes and forgotten kisses
Paper cuts and rusted stitches
The love in the world is gone today
And soon enough we’ll all decay
Why is everything in this world so fake
I’m weighed down by chains that I need to break
I’m just sitting here watching as the worlds torn apart
How did this happen how did this start
Everyone hates and everyone lies
I can’t express how much I despise
These fake plastic faces
That everyone just embraces
With thick makeup caked on their eyes
I can see right through their lies
It seems to me that nobody cares
That everyone’s full of lies and everlasting despairs
They’re just sitting there watching weighed down by their chains
Just watching and laughing as the world entertains
They don’t even seem to want to find a way to break
Out of their chains to get away from the fake
They just sit there wasting away
Drowning and choking in a dark world of grey
Instead of looking towards the light
They'll just die in pain and fright
As people slowly rip off their fake faces
The lies are gone, and the truth replaces
What the people truly are
Now you can see their true scars
Don’t keep up with the latest obsessions
Just to make a good impression
Because in the end it doesn’t work
And you’ll just be living in a world of hurt
You weren't as cool as your lies made you seem
Because you ran away instead of taking one for the team
