I remember Prague
Walking under moonlight,
How you laughed that night
As we stopped to kiss.
I remember your eyes
How I would drown in your gaze,
I thought it would never end
That we would always be happy.
Memories are all I have
The light in the darkness,
But even love must sometimes die
Our futures can never be planned.
I must forget the sadness
The bitter parting words,
I will always have Teplice
The memory of your smile.
When all has gone to dust
Ashes that blow upon the wind,
It's memories that keep us alive
That give us strength.
Take from life what you can
Leave sadness behind as you move on,
This is how we survive
This is how we grow.
Author notes
I know how it feels mate, i will always love my ex. But you need to grasp your happier memories, bury the bitter tears and move forward.

Oops, I meant to comment on this earlier.
Sadly, my memories have turned poisonous. When she explained why she broke up with me, what once were my happiest memories turned bitter and hollow. They felt hollow immediately afterwards, but the bitterness didn't come until later.
Oh well, this will hopefully come to pass one day, but it'll probably take more than a year before I'll be able to look back on it at all fondly. Doing my best to move forward though, as hard as that is.
Thanks for entering, and good luck to you.
