Why I Believe

First of all I believe that my Bible is the true and inerrant Word of God, I believe we as Christians serve a God who does not change. He is the same today as yesterday and will be the same tomorrow and forevermore. His promises are true. Therefore I believe his promise to me that if I love him and serve him and turn from my sins to walk in newness of life, being forgiven of my sins by the shed blood of his Son, Jesus Christ When I die I will go to be with him in heaven, and there I will spend the endless ages in his presence.

This second question I pray I will be able to give an answer. I'm afraid our society has become so accustomed to the point of anything goes that we have lost our way. I believe that we as Christians are to love all people. After all God loved us so much that while we were sinners he gave his only begotten Son that we might have forgiveness of our sins. But should we tolerate all kinds of religions? The men who took the message of Jesus Christ were faced with similar situations. No sooner did they leave a church they had started and in came those professing to believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings. However they began inserting false doctrines into their teaching. Did Paul accept this teaching? No he did not. In fact he chastised them and spoke to them these words,But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. This is found in the book of Galation chapter one verse eight, Our nation is sufferung today because we have let others take God out of so much that we do and it will only get worse unless we turn back to God. But his promise to us is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Even if I have written too much for the contest I thank you for the chance to speak out for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us all who call ourselves Christians begin to pray like we have never prayed before that our land might be healed. childlike faith
