Honor isnt just a word,
that we should just shout out.
Its something that should be reserved,
for those who truly earn it.
Most of us today,
will honor those that fight.
But some don't have the means,
to tell the world they care.
As a proud american,
I fell I stand for something.
I wave my flag and shed my tears,
For those who fight for freedom.
They are the true heros.
I am proud to say.
I will stand up tall and proud,
when any of them walk my way.
For those of us who can't use words,
to express our love and devotion.
We will sit and wag our tails,
for all that our heros have given.

I really liked this contest. I have a golden retriever myself and I feel that there is so much behind the eyes of a dog or most any pet that is unspoken.
