i remember that kiss:
inebriated and cunning as we were,
amid those bottles we littered about us,
like a glass playfort promenade:
"and tonight, a feast beyond feasting,
so it shall not be for food that we yearn,"
bold secrets part cigarette smoke oceans,
my eyes catch a flicker of sumptuous snickers,
as doting but doling, we drink 'til we're sicker,
and fall to dream of impetuous notions,

bothersome headache:
where have you taken that kiss?
have you stolen that which i'd love most to see?
do you guard that which mirrors the weakness in me?
i would that you cease and desist,
suddenly awake with a familiar blur,
dazed, dashing about to steady ourselves,
and wishing to reminisce over twelve,
we pass 'neath the archway and brush:
impatient now, and blushed.
