To Thoreau

What gift can I give to
this wise man, who compels me
with the power of his writes?
Insight, I hear, as his words
guide me through, to learn and
see the beauty in-spite...

There is eloquence in his thoughts,
knowledge that is filling
and just before the last line.
My gift is to honor him,
for his guidance has
captured a woman
who truly loves life.
