New Beginning

It's hard to be happy,
When all your friends are gone,
And everything you thought was true,
Is totally wrong.
It's hard to smile,
When your mother says she hates you,
And your sister won't look you in the eyes,
Even though she says that's not true.
It's hard to laugh,
When your one true love leaves,
And when your family thinks you left,
So that you could do as you please.
It's hard to look up with hope,
When it's been taken from your very soul,
And when all this insanity,
Starts to take it's toll.
It's hard to believe in God,
When He left you all alone,
And even the mention of Him,
Makes you let out a groan.
It's hard to look forward to the future,
When the past has been total shit,
And when life has let you down,
At least, the beginning of it.
It's hard to find love,
When you think it's a lie.
But, it's stupid to think that,
Just because of one guy.
There must be hope,
Somewhere in this world,
There has to be love,
I wish it would unfurl.
This can't be the end,
So it must be the beginning.
This is where I take my stand,
To stop losing and start winning.
