A little thing I had to do

The complicated people of AP
Love to make a mountain from a spot
In any little action they can see
Something very like a terror plot

The poetry that flashes round the site
Is sometimes rather more than first appears
What poets sit and write long into night
Can be the total sum of all their fears

Am I alone in thinking that a verse
Is often just a way to play with words
It doesn't have to signal something worse
Than cattle buying china for their herds

So please don't think this rhyme is aimed at you
Its just a little thing I had to do

Please tell me what you think

I knew it! You wrote this about me! You think all my poems have a deep underlying psychological manifestation. You have now pushed me too far and I am becoming suicidal. Just kidding, great sonnet Jeff.

    Love,

Way to go Mr Green! This ranks alongside my own "The.punctuation.man." and "The Pope and Michelangelo" for AP-satire.
