Where is my lost poetry?
It is in your heartbeat, in your soul…
floating on your very essence!
Midnight comes, and I wish to be
in your arms, on your chest
hearing your heartbeats…
Are you really here? In my life?
In shared poetic moments?
Show yourself to me, please,
outside of my dreams!
Am I not the poet who created you?
Do I not deserve your favor?
I ask you to come to me, for love...
Love of creation, love of diction, love of us.
Where are you, my lost poetry?
Do you not need this poet, anymore?
Do you not need this creator of your rhyme?
Say it isn't true; say you need me--
To exist, to feel, to survive…

This is really good, and I love the use of my poetry taking place of the person, a wonderful creation. Thank you for entering the contest.
