Amazing grace how sweet the sound,
The sound of silence is all around.
That saved a wretch like me,
Alone in darkness is where I'll be.
I once was lost but now am found,
My heart stopped beating I can no longer hear a sound.
Was blind but now I see,
My last request was to be buried under a shady tree.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear,
Do not mourn for me and please do not shed a tear.
And Grace my fears relieved,
It was bound to happen, this you must have believed.
How precious did that Grace appear,
I was depressed and lonely, the emptiness I did fear.
The hour I first believed,
The loss of my one true love is why I had grieved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I was tired of the rude comments and hard stares.
I have already come,
I found the pills and decided to take some.
Twas Grace that brought me safe this far,
I went outside to look at the brightest star.
And Grace will take me home,
My soul is now drifting, forever it will roam.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Lord has promised good to me,
My life is now over, my spirit has been set free.
HIS word my hope secures,
Depression is one of many illnesses, I hope someday they will find the cures.
HE will my shield and portion be,
I am better off dead, why can't you see.
As long as life endures,
I did what I thought was best for me, I was my life not yours.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I've been dead ten thousand years,
Instead of mourning me, lift your glass to cheers.
Bright shining as the sun,
I wasn't always sad, there were times when I had some fun.
I have no less days to sing God's praise,
As you kneel before my grave, I see the sadness in your gaze.
Then when I first begun,
Thank you for my final resting place, the leaves block me from the sun.

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

"Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear,
Do not mourn for me and please do not shed a tear.
And Grace my fears relieved,
It was bound to happen, this you must have believed.
How precious did that Grace appear,
I was depressed and lonely, the emptiness I did fear.
