You'll blacken like cinder...

Smoke dances from her full red lips,
A faded fire burning up from within.
You'll blacken like cinder
While she plays her torturous game,
She'll twist your mind until you crack,
Smoke seeping in for that cruel final twist.
But you'll keep begging for more,
Craving each tendril of smoke,
A ghost of fire sweeping across a broken mind.
Breathing fire,
She only offers you remnants of smoke
Before the wind mercilessly drives her away
You were but her timely amusement
You're no use to her now that you've cracked
Her game is a sweet torture,
One that stays with it's victim long after she's left.

You beg for her
You cry for her
Carcinogenic smoke
You want her to want you,
You want her to love you,
But torture is all she knows.
She keeps her fire hidden,
Locked away from their craving touches.
It's that smoke she exhales that destroys those fragile,
weak-minded victims around her.
It's cold,
It's harsh,
and it's breaking your soul to be near her,
To be away from her.

But inside she's burning,
She's falling apart,
And you don't even know it.
You think she's your goddess,
Your miracle confined in a tempestuous smoldering woman.
How wrong you have been,
Even through her cruelty and laughter,
You cannot see.
She's burning inside,
All alone she's lost to the fire.
Alone she destroys the men who confined her.
A goddess she will never be,
Though in your eyes you'd disagree,
She's nothing more than a scorned woman,
A foul witch who's soul is slowly burning out,
Extinguished by her years of torment,
Trying to find feeling in breaking those so much like the one who'd
Broken her.

She's burning inside,
But it's the heat of her hatred,
The lashing tendrils beyond her smoky walls,
That will scald you,
Crush you.
You'll blacken like the cinders buried deep in her soul,
For all she knows now is destruction,
Against a man-
For she believes they are all the same-
Who twisted her into such a cruel imitation of fire's last embers,
Of a wavering smoke accompanying the fall of such blaze.

Author notes

This poem is about Blaise Harman, a character the I RP on a LJ Smith RP site, and she is a canon of LJ's from 'Spellbinder'.
It was inspired by an option in a contest (quote is below). I find that Blaise is living temptation, and she has yet to find someone who can resist. Sometimes that ends quite badly for her, but if it has, she is more than determined to have everything for anyone else turn out just as poorly.
