Our destination was euphoria.
Innocence was left behind long ago.
Reality had been indebted to us.
So we decided we needed to be reborn.
We were oblivious to the scent,
Of the powder.
Her luscious breath engraved,
In our brains.
Everyone else was just passers-by,
Moving in the slow frame of the picture,
Following in the melody,
Of this heavenly high.
The assurance of a good score,
Was like our birth right.
It was every bit ours,
And that's what we came to trust.
But one day everything stopped.
The security of our white coated womb dried up.
In vigor we searched for the oasis,
But the safety of the passage had disappeared.
Its hard to hold your composure,
When Her hieroglyphics,
Decorate your mind,
And your walls are painted all white.
Instead we found addiction,
Forever longing to taste Her kiss.
Then we realized that we are forced to simply exist.
Exist in this dreary mortality.
Euphoria has vanished.

I just love this. The flow is perfect as it describes high to low. I can really feel this piece and relate to the emotions that are here. This is beautifully written and so real. Amazing write.

i really love the last few stanzas:
But one day everything stopped.
The security of our white coated womb dried up.
In vigor we searched for the oasis,
But the safety of the passage had disappeared.
Its hard to hold your composure,
When Her hieroglyphics,
Decorate your mind,

Exist in this dreary mortality.
Euphoria has vanished.
yes, i could envision the drugs when u mentioned the white coated wombs, and i really think u worded that wonderfully and the last few stanzas are just beautiful.

Do you know someone who is drug addicted? or have you ever been involved in dugs? (no offense)
I don't know how you can capture something like a feeling, but this comes pretty close to it..
And I can think of no other explenations of why this is so d*mn good... ^^
The title is very appropriate, I myself have never done drugs but people alaways describe it a reliever and something that takes you away, from worry, pain, everything else, when it talks about the womb is when they are coming out of their high isn't it? -

I personally have never done drugs, but I talked to one of my friends that use to, and she had told me that it wasn't fair that god didn't create the world as wonderful as when you are high. When she told me that it just stuck in my mind and I used that as my inspiration. Thanks a bunch.
