Rainbow Too

Splash me,
Dip me in that sea
Of healing color
That I may be
Cleansed of my
Black and whites.

Let me drink
In vivid hues
That I can
Hold a rainbow
In my hands
And never thirst
For color
In my life.

That I might
With others
Who only know
The rain falling
And dip them
In that sea
Of healing color
So they might know
The rainbow too.

Wonderful metaphor here applied to how we perceive our life & what happens to us, what we make of it, how we can influence others...a lovely poem..

    lovely!!!!

I could feel the warm, healing vibes coming from this. I love the idea of wanting to spread the colors of the healing spectrum... a wonderful image!
I also like the first stanza, where you talk about being "cleansed of (your) black and whites". Something about that really stuck with me, and made me think. Sometimes, we view everything as being black and white, and miss out on all the beautiful things that color life and make it vivid and interesting.

I think it is just in your nature to heal others. You were born with a gift for helping people, for understanding them, and for showing them the way to improvement. This poem reiterates that.

I really like this. The first stanza sort of reminds me of that old saying, "gray is one, colors are many". I like the healing colors - rain parallel, it's clever and beautiful. Inspirational message too. Nice job

There lies here a simple sweetness, and a The prompt is charming, and this write does it deeper justice than I expected. It holds the seed of Pandora, hope. The rainbows here may be penned for this contest, but this poem holds colors, rainbows, of it's own in hues unseen my the eyes alone. Very well penned my friend.

    Blessed be,
    Billie Jean

For the prompt given, I think you did an incredible job; I actually found it hard to believe that was the image you penned for - not because I didn't find it relevant, but because I am in awe how you could compose something such as this from that image.

    "Splash me,
    Dip me in that sea
    Of healing color
    That I may be
    Cleansed of my
    Black and whites."

That is just amazing. For me, it speaks volumes.
I am in awe of that pen!
