Why are you caught in a net?
he asked, as he wrapped his web
around me.
I'm sorry, he told me,
and promised it was his fault
that I felt trapped
by life. I cried harder when he left
after kissing me with black lips.
Posters of a girl,
and I wish to be a soft rock star.
But I found that living
was never for me;
tears are always pretty in pink.
Why am I trapped by my wings?
They carried me over smog skies
until Icharus was just a name
written in wax.
Author notes
this was weird.. but i like it well enough.

Oh, I like this a lot! I love this story and it really trapped me from the beginning. A very powerful beginning it is too, and it carries all the way to the end with all the depth and emotions that are seen by each word. I love the ending too, that leaves a slight puzzled wondering to the reader, trying to take it forward from there... Those are the most powerful of endings if you ask me and I like that!
Wonderful work with this one!
