My resume of trials
is the truth....
and none other.
The loves that I have lost
The tears that I have tossed...
If a lie is believed
It is the truth
to those deceived.
I am the scientist
of winking notary,
who bends the beams
of your loves sobriety.
Take heed to tale's held,
with my hand...
your heart I do wield.
Author notes
I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.
say what?

Impressed as always!
You always seem to have such an ease with words and it really shows in this write. I love the second stanza. It sounds almost prophetic in it's simple honesty. Great job!

Oh, this is quite marvelous. Quite familiar. Really thrust me into a deep marination of thought. Very well written, quite affecting. That last line was most superb…I see this mechanically moving power body shaping all the heads of society, manipulating them, bending, distorting, diminishing them from original form, or thought. That first stanza is glorious and so relatable. This piece really reminded me of a great sense of corruption, very much like that which thrives in some legal systems, that drums through society; that manipulation and tweaking of people’s minds and thoughts and feelings, desires, wills…Just how malleable we all can be. Deception and lies have always been like the hoary plaques and lesions that plague and riddle the nervous system of society. When I read through the second and third stanzas, I started thinking about WWII and the brainwashing and psychological warfare that was practiced, and seems to continue to infest our own modern-day society…the constant propaganda and lies that are spilled onto us like liquid acid, yet we are so desensitized, we can’t even feel the burn or smell the sizzling of the flesh of truth, anymore…There comes a point that this state of oblivion and chimera becomes so familiar that it seems to be all we have ever known, and thus, a conception of truth and rings through the muddled heads of society…I also felt it was a bit of a testament to the personal life…how in our own lives we are deceived (or sometimes even we ourselves are liars and fiends) by many and suffer great hardships and losses, whether it be by death, or a lifting of ignorance or a revealing of betrayal…or just a dissolvent of an illusion we’d so desperately clung to. I suspect, to sum it up, yes, it is a vivid portrayal of life, I felt. Sorry I rambled on so long, this piece really gave me much to think about. I hope it isn’t minded that I shared some of the reflections and thoughts evoked by this wonderful write. Very, very well done!!!!!

Hmmm, seems I commented on this before? I do like this very much, it speaks of such sadness found on the path of life, and I too can definitely relate to that.
