When one thinks of the forked paths
that lead to the union of two souls,
evasive answers fill on top of
confusions. Can one's soul melt
at the sight of glistening skin
set tightly over sinuous limbs?
Is that just enough, or is there
something more that fills a tender
dream drenched in longings? When you
touch me in places I feel your love,
when you fill my senses and move inside
my closed avenues, I remain a helpless
mass capable only of shrieks of joy.
But how far does it last? Is there
anything safe and lasting in the act?
Do you solve any of my problems
or just add one more confusion?
You know I long for this in all climes
but love and life, entwined serpentinely
are things that make my head spin forever

love and life, they are forever twisting us. but would we have it any other way, it keeps us on our toes, a good poem

I think this is worthy of the gold...your images are beautiful and the emotions you conjure are so 'touchable'. You make no value judgements, only ask the questions and leave the readers to decide for themselves how they will respond...Lovely...Best of luck. Peace, Rhonda

This is beautiful and touching, the very epitome of love. Good luck in the contest!
Just as a side note: Your text is rather hard to read on the background.
