Fantasy Worlds

Homework is to continue reading poetry of old

Home leisure, it is not work to me this week

Retracing the steps I made before, Tolkien again does unfold

Once more I am entranced by the realms of fantasy I so oft seek

As a great hero, Bilbo must surely be a contender

Battling against all fell of Middle Earth, I’m in heaven

Thank you tutor, its been such a treat for this pretender

Its been too long since I have dwelled with the Kings Elven

From Peter Pan to Frodo, Rincewind and Aslan

The magic is alive once more, my heart beats rapid

Myth, legend or pure imagination, I am a true fan

Make my mind work, live the dreams and never vapid

Does this mean I dismiss the writing of different style?

How can I with the likes of Shelley and Shakespeare?

There are times it is these words that make me smile

There is a place for all my moods in my brain’s sphere

Fantasy is my literary first love, that is too true,

I believe it is likely it will also be my last

For the times I need to escape, break from. the blue

The realms of fantasy take me there so fast

    oh my! very nice!
Fantasy is my second choice (horror being my first )
You have managed to convince me that you are at home with fantasy and I am sure that was what was intended
    well done!

Horror and fantasy run hand in hand I think, I love Anne Rice, and Stephen King too
