Sliding down from a star,
the spider gently lands.
Terrified at first,
to be in human hands.
Gently I cradle him,
and put him on the ground,
he seems quite happy,
as he looks around.
Tipping his head and smiling,
he waves good-bye to me,
"humans aren't as bad,
as they're made out to be."

I agree, the first line is AWESOME. I like where you've taken this. I know the conclusion is very debatable, but it's nice to read something hopeful about humans, especially since I'm usually so negative on that subject matter. Thanks for entering!

I love this! It reads nicely and has such a nice feel to it. I especially like your lst line,
'sliding down from a star'.
best wishes in your contest.
