Has anyone ever felt
you had to live up to so many expectations
And never measured up?
Do you ever feel that in a crowd
You wanna stand out;
But you didn't seem good enough.
I have been the outcast
I know how you feel
Always looking from the outside
Becoming torn from within
When all that time I could have been
Saying I'm alone
But not the only one
Who dares to speak their mind
And I'm not the only one
Who sat down to think
that I am who I want to be
I don't have to prove anything.
I know it sounds selfish
It sounds sinful and out of touch
But If we to more to time to look within for the answers
We wouldn't all feel that where so lost
Another persons all I got
So we aren't crying in the dark.
So don't you ever feel
You have to live up
to many expectations
We all are learning
You don't have to prove anything.

Thanks for all your comments! About 4, I think,out of the current 17, are poems that were for contests...just so you know...I don't think there the ones you commented on though...
You know...I would REALLY like it if it was just you and me for the Talent show...We are just so great together ya know? Whatcha think?
