Blistering heat and molten lust,
Doing just as we are told that we must,
Repeating the things that we cannot bear,
Blind to all but that someone is there.
Repeated untruths feed the apathy,
So God becomes so much less than you to me.
The word neglected for a moment at a time,
Means severed communication with the divine.
When our lives then hit the wall,
Instinctively we look out for someone to call.
But the number we need been deleted,
The illusion of love has long been completed.
Foolishly we fall back to where we have been,
Habits that hurt us, so easy the sin.
Vague memories flicker of a peace of mind,
Cool balm compared to what we now find!
Author notes
Another one that I wrote when struggling with something... Trying to abide by God's standards. This is one of my earlier attempts at writing.

God is there and he always loves you.
Going to churches, temples mosques etc etc.does not mean you remember him.
I never go to any temple for me he is always be there for me whether i remember him or not.
To love someone else more than God is quite impossible.
The one you love or have loved too was made by God.
In short love anyone and you love God.
Hate your self and God will still love you.
Just trying to think of him is the greatest good you can do.
Your poem makes me think of God. So you get blessed the moment, I or anyone else that reads it.
Congrats
lol
No one gets defiled.

"The word neglected for a moment at a time,
Means severed communication with the divine." - I love these lines as they are so true... For it happens all too often, we get caught up with the worries and stress of the world and life here on earth, that we forget that there is hope, and don't 'LISTEN' or maybe even deafen ourselves to tune His mighty voice out. It is sad - but true.
Let us never forget, and never lose hope and faith! Love your spiritual writes

thank you, this was an early write, from before I joined AP, so maybe not as polished as some. It sometimes reads more like a rap to me lol
