Part of me wants to be angry and yell,
But those parts are tiny and locked away in a cell,
I'm happy with my decisions today,
So it's with much enthusiasm that I say "Hooray!"
Yes I wish you would have told me,
And hear it with my ears and instead of reading to see.
I'm happy that you know what you want,
But I do wish you could have been a little more blunt.
Though this won't stop me now or ever,
I'm standing strong and holding my pieces together,
I don't need you or anyone else to be happy,
And I'm not the type to get all sappy.
Be happy with who you are and what you do,
Because you'll never know how else to get through,
Today is a brand new day and the sun is high,
And nothing is the limit for me but the sky.
I'm me and I'm different from all the rest,
And I'm happy that I can get my feelings off my chest,
I'm not a sterotype and for that I'm glad to see,
That despite all the pain, I can still be me.
