and gray,
Sadness seems to be surrounding
this dreary day.
She walks alone with no friends with
whom to share,
Thoughts dark and sad come
to dare.
Trying so hard to consume
her heart,
They just won't let peace
and happiness start.
All is not lost for at the
end she will find
The peace and contentment which
will ease her mind.
Author notes
As one goes out and walks in nature their many sorrows and heartaches are pushed away with natures loving hand.

HELLO AMARIGE
I appreciate your reading so much!
Just seeing this lady walking alone on a gray day with the bare trees around her took me back to the days when I would go walking in my woods back home on rainy days.

Outstanding
I've experienced this myself - feeling depressed and then going for a walk and being uplifted by nature. This poem has a sad tone but ends on a happy note. The rhyme is fluid and I liked how you created a sense of her character. A brilliant poem. Best of luck in the contest.

Just looking at this lady walking down a lane with bare trees all around and a gray sky brought back to me memories where I did the same thing just to think and find answers.
