Poetry Afro (( Sensual Spoken Word ))
By: Julia L. Clark
My words,
Are every woman.
The high heels of my platform breath,
To the bee hives
Of my soul sista.
Jail house rock,
To the new era
Be bop.
I am poetry afro
From the growing herbs
Of strange soil.
To the gas stove
Of my over boil.
I am nappy dread locks
To the way my
Phenomenal unknown
Strategy shocks.
I picked fields of
Support my family,
I sweat in brown skin blues
In return respect
Eat the heart of my
Season word cabbage.
I be damn
If you don’t see
My word college degree,
In real soul food mentality.
Darling,
Pardon me.
When you see
Me swaying
In red carpet
Cocaine,
That means my descendants
Fought for me to
Talk poetry politics
Blood sucking ticks.
I am poetry afro

Shut your mouth
I am born and raised
Texas South country
Grammar is straight out
The thesaurus word house.
I am poetry afro
From the sexual word tone
I play.
From the way you drink my liquor Patron,
I massage your speeding mind zone.
Triple play my ring tone
Tattooed diamond back
Digging in the scene
With some poetry lean

Ooh
Just let my naps
Groove tonight
While my sexiness
Make you sing
Say it again
While poetry just
Let us fall in love
Because when
A blank sheet of
Paper lay’s down next to
Me I feel like I am in ecstasy
