Slam the Phone

 there

                                   is

                                                                          no

                                                                                                                   foundation

when it comes to your love;

"five seconds to get here

right

now"

slamming,

the pale sheered room

breaking at

his fingertips

phone cracking

he only wanted her

to stay

now he visions her throat

cut

brusied underneath

his white knuckles

split into

thirds

he wants love

to die

in her arms

as he slams the phone

down

Author notes

Prompt:
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.
Now put foundations under them.
Henry David Thoreau

Going on right now is...

Her brother is in the other room, screaming on the phone because he found out she cheated on him. He wants to kill her, probably, and he is getting out of control. They never built a sturdy FOUNDATION...and this is what it leads to.
His jealousy... so prominent...and now she goes off and gets with someone else.
It was bound to happen.

This poem gives just enough of the picture to establish the feeling, but little enough that the author was left hanging. Great write.
