listen as the piano cries
[and it cries]
for the stains of society
of whatever is left of humanity
Is there hope
for such a time where children can just be
what they were meant to be
[children]
no gun shots
no blood stain nightmares
just laughs
with sunday lullablies
and lovely friday sweets
reminders of playgrounds
of hand clap games
and tick tack toe
is there any hope at all?
the piano cries
there goes another war torn child
[and it cries]
for the stains of society
of whatever is left of humanity
Is there hope
for such a time where children can just be
what they were meant to be
[children]
no gun shots
no blood stain nightmares
just laughs
with sunday lullablies
and lovely friday sweets
reminders of playgrounds
of hand clap games
and tick tack toe
is there any hope at all?
the piano cries
there goes another war torn child

Damn girl, this made me cry. It's heartwrenching and almost makes me angry in a way. Those children deserve a chance at making it in this world, and growing and being loved and happy. They are human beings and every human being deserves that. I think people often forget this kind of thing goes on in our world..thanks for this write!

I felt what you were saying. I also love the feel and flow of the poem. Thanks for entering and good luck

Truer words were never spoken, and yet we do nothing about it. We're in war time ourselves and we go on, buying expensive houses, expensive cars, bitching about how expensive gas is...and children are DYING...
You're quite amazing. -
You are soooo good. I swear I can sit here and read all of these and never lose interest. Wonderful <3

This is amazing. I really like how it's written. And it really did almost make me cry, because sometimes we don't realize how good we have it until it is brought to our attention, and even then, some don't listen. Everyone deserves a childhood, but thanks to this genocide, some can't have one. My favorite part is:
"Is there hope
for such a time where children can just be
what they were meant to be"
This is an breathtakingly beautiful write. Thankyouu for entering my contest.
