Her gazing eyes while she's sitting there,
Reflections on the time that's growing near.
She wonders about the deep loves she feels,
Life so precarious she now yearns to live.
Once molded from under a leaf so delicate,
She finds that it wasn't easy to survive.
Then upon her back the wings had appeared,
Allowing her freedom of flight to explore.
Always and forever she'll never feel free,
Her fate was already predetermined for her.
Flowers showed to her the beauty of grace,
Giving food to her for life fast fading away.
As her days grow shorter and her sorrow begins,
She reflects upon her life's greatest moments.
Her friends she found to be like her sharing,
The wings of the beautiful everlasting flight.
She knows now the time is near for her to be,
One to give back to all who helped her love.
She lays herself upon the warm ground knowing,
She passing on to the next one that will be born.

Butterflies are one of my most favorite and so very graceful creatures on the earth. I've always felt like I can relate to them, for sometimes I feel like a butterfly that goes through metamorhosis in my life.
