Souls Eye

By Lissa Marie Howe

I listen but hear nothing.

You draw me in…

I speak,
Not a sound escapes,
I touch you and feel everything.
I think eternally in this paralyzing silence,
The envious sound that echoes my pain,
Quickly following with broken shame.

I look into the void…

The moonlight shows every occurrence,
Of thought and worry,
The sunlit oceans pierce pain and guilt.

I see infinity in vast pools of elaborate elucidations;
Love everlastingly,
Pain dispersing into oblivion,
And,
Eternal compositions from every essence.

You have me now…

Heroism unneeded,
Pain virtually forgotten,
Peace that reins ubiquitously,
Immortality achieved,
Spirit encouraged,
And innocence protected.

Every Moment seems to hinder,
With me in your arms.

The world perfect yet bland.
Nothing to ponder,
And nothing to look forward to,
The world falls apart.

My Will is strong…

Your eyes so deep,
So dangerous,
And calm.

You have shown me your soul,
Your deepest desires,
My malice,
My Pain,
The vengeance I seek,
Only moments away,
I have you where I want you.
I can now punish.

But tightly in your arms…

Your whisper more then a word,
Your warm breath slithering down my neck,

“It is I who have you, your soul I seen, and it is my revenge that will be had to day.”

Wow, this was such a powerful write from the span of emotions and the words that you've used are amazingly good especially since some of them are quite uncommon. Thanks for entering this wonderful write.
