Salutations (Haiku)

Missing image
sunrise of rebirth
glorious salutations
gossamer wings fly

Author notes

This is a great form of poetry
that flows from my thoughts,
though the picture I see is greater,
I have summed it all up beautifully in such short verse."

    SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!

There is nothing quite like watching a butterfly floating upon a warm breeze on a bright and sunshiny day.

    wow

I like this style but struggle with expression, you are truly gifted...I fish and have watched your explanation happen many times and I still would not come anywhere near this...my trips to the water will be more colorful now though.

Hello Simon. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. So glad you enjoyed my poem. I struggle with the syllable counts too. Thats why I don't write many haiku. You take care, Sandy

i love it when people use the word "gossamer" in poems, something about it seems so ephemeral. i felt like the first line had a strong religious sense to it but it was nicely balanced out by the nature scene at the end. well done!
