In passion’s heat two souls intertwine,
invoking a miracle divine.
At the very first beat of my heart,
before I was me, life got its start.
Weightless tethered to my world within,
sensations of existence begin.
In this bliss, reassuring thoughts persist,
and there's pleasure knowing I exist.
Protected and safe in my inner space,
physical traits grow at a fast pace.
Not content with we, I must be me,
anxious to leave, I need to be free.
My eyes open in a bewildered stare,
as my empty lungs expand with air.
Abruptly, I instinctively weep,
then a magic voice lulls me to sleep.
The soothing sound of a lullaby,
calms me down and I no longer cry.
Acquiescing to my mother’s care,
I’ve made it, I’m finally there!

Your poem makes me wonder, we may never be more content with simply being than we are just before 'being'.Anything that inspires me to wonder is a pleasure, thank you for sharing!
'Protected and safe afloat in my inner space'
this was my favorite line.
