Can I speak with
child-like plainness
and still be a strong adult?
I am unsure of what's right or wrong,
I am akward.
I suppose it is simpler than it looks,
but will my meaning of happiness
be defined in the moment of a memory?
If so-if life is like that:
looking to yesterday-
then I ask God to give a moment's Grace,
because I choose the happiness
of the Present and the Future,
the good things in life,
(which are hard to find),
and the castles in the sky.
In doing so I can see how to live sweetly
and not worry about this world's limits
so when i get where I'm going
I can cry out,
with my last breath,
"I am alive! Amen, amen, I am alive!"
