Stitched up unconventionally, and held together by no mortal force
Tainted only by the images of those beings who surround her
Only taking on human form with help of powdered wig and rouge
Here now we see this small being for what she really is.
Mechanical – wires, metal – no bone or warmth in this one’s touch.
A beautiful sight, indeed, but a dangerous beauty
As no one is clear to her purpose here
Blinded by the emulsified beings of their surroundings, to them, she is like all the rest.
Successful, she becomes, in living among them
Little do they know that it will be SHE who unties the strings
To their peaceful existance – snapping them in two with her mechanical appendages.
When will they see the treacherous being for what she truly is?
Serving only as messenger to these weakened beings,
She succeeds in getting through their defenses… but her message goes unheard.
She’s come to change things for the better, as she’s seen what the future holds,
And knows she must stop the madness before it seeps into future ages.
Fooled them, she has – but fool us? I shan’t think so.
For here in this portrait, this simple little reflection
We see the being for what she really is – wires, metal, nothing mortal here
Just a messenger sent from beyond ready to conquer all there is.

You have written a poem that radiates quite some power throughout the lines, although maybe a weak point to this is the flow that seems to be a bit wobbly here and there.
Good use of imagery within the lines as well
Thank you for taking the time to enter this contest, I wish you the very best!

Wow I just love this take on the picture! Your imagery is wonderful and I couldn't stop reading this. It had me riveted (excuse the pun!) all the way through
An excellent piece.
All the best in the contest
