October Sky

You captivate me
faithful fingers flitting
over sensitive skin, soulfully
lips brushing against mine
strong hands
gentley holding me still
keeping me, touching me
laying on my long green coat
the one my mother wore before
Sand crunching beneath,
as we held each other
Under an October sky

Author notes

We held each other close that day, when we finally got to be with each other for the first time, on that beach along the Missouri, under a cold October Sky.

Soon, we pray, we hope, we will be holding each other again...this time under a warm August Sky, in the shadow of the Black hills.

This is for the love of my life...I love you.
