I'm finished searching

I've searched forever to find a love as deep as you
I've searched forever to find someone as true as you

You're my everything, without you, I wouldn't know what to do
You've always had my back, you've always been there to see me through

It's amazing, because my heart was filled with strife
Lord I found you, to you I've turned over my life

A savior is what I searched for, a savior is what I found
I'm no longer struggling, I'm no longer bound

And I know that no matter how much I stray or do you harm
I know you'll always be there, with an outstretched arm

I really enjoyed this poem! Great job! I like the title a lot, and the line: "I'm no longer struggling, I'm no longer bound". Blessings!

    Beautiful!

I'd like to offer an edit you might like. This helps me improve, so thanks for putting up with this! Edit:

Searched forever to find a love as deep as Yours
Looked forever to find someone as True

    You're my everything
Without You I'd not know what to do
    You've always had my back,
You're always there to see me through

My heart was filled with strife
    'Til I found You
I give my life to You

    Searched for a Savior
    A Savior I found
    No longer struggling
    No longer bound

No matter how much I stray or do you harm
    You'll always be there
    With outstretched arm

Hope you like your edit dear one!

Great sentiments you express so well in these rhymed couplets; easy to read and understand how you feel. (Check spelling of always in last line)

Ah...a kindred spirit! This is so precious we want to be sure there're no typos so:I know you'll alwyas [always] be there, with an outstretched arm. His arms are never too short to reach us! What a lovely piece to read on His Day! Thanks ~ KMB aka Kathleen a Nazarene BTW...why'd you pick such a scary background? Was it for contrast & to show what one comes out of when they find The Light? :-)
