Said the Devil to the beaming Groom
“Hey, I see you are ready;
the wedding approaches -
what to say for a bargain?
I can make the arrangements
For a merry and lengthy
Married life.
Just one kiss, you can not miss”
The devil smiled and the Groom –
Feeling sulfurous scent in air -
Foolishly and bewildered answered:
“What are you doing here;
for my wedding you are not invited,
and I would never accept
such woeful guest!”
“Ah, Do not be so distressed;
I am always invited by the many -
Oh and they are many, can’t you guess? -
Who carry me deep within,
And do not try to pry;
You can never tell who, if just one.
Either him, him or him.”
“No one is here in the temple yet,
and this is hallowed ground;
In God’s view you can not approach.”
The Devil laughed and winked
“Ah, Would I the Devil be
if entering in holy places
are impossible to me ?
Oh, why all this fuzz in the air;
I tell you; I was Holy and Holy made;
Holier than this water In the shrine;
In God’s Lap I just feel at home.”
“However, take your gift from my sight;
my soul is not free for the market;
my happiness is free of your touch.”
“Ah, Soul! We do not play chess, God and I;
we are more dancers, and God is my pair.
The golden circlet you – oh, they look so tiny;
Are just like mine! God gave to me and I said:
I take, yes, for a lifetime! Still shines;
Sometimes I use, for more formal celebrations.”
“What do you want them ?
What is the price ? What is the gain?
Devil is devil for setting a price.”
“Capitalism…I used to be so communist…
Ah, give me your love mortal;
But do not be wary! It is not now;
She will part before you,
What will be the use ?
Inside a closet, Inside hat’s box ?”
“Give my love ? What do the devil
of all the beings, understand about love?”
“Oh, please…Love…Lo-oo-ve-e. By Jove!
All creatures by God created
can by love be scorched.
I would love her too; you must know;
her grey eyes bring me memories;
And her wedding garments ?
With my patronage you could do as I did;
no peasantry superstition frustrate me.
Such good memory it will be;
As without me what there can be?
Your disease, her loyalty, oh, chaos! ”
As the devil finished, widely smiling,
The groom baffled against the altar leaned;
Inner in his mind the words echoed
When he noticed that by the portal
The devil slowly departed.
“Farewell happy fields!
God is the one with patience,
I am just here for the free food;
But the ceremony is so long and boring…
Give her another kiss on her lips for me.”
The Groom dashed unsure of why;
But outside the church, perhaps only God.
He returned and waiting for the wedding time;
For his fiancee and for the priest…

I think you mean fiancee, unless this is a wedding of two men (possible, I suppose). There is some good description here, but some of the syntax is a bit odd, unless there are words missed out. Do you kiss people in the lips? The Groom dashed unsure of why: no peasantry superstition frustrate me: The groom baffled against the alter leaned. I think you mean altar, don't you? And there are capitalisations in some parts and not in others. Altogether, somewhat strange.

thans Keith, most of the calls are good. I did not reviewed it well, a bit older poem that I decided to post because the theme of your poem is one that use a lot, but I did not wanted to show old poems already posted.
