Still waters all around me
Unlike waters of yesterday
When the winds they blew
The waters came rushing
In fear I called out to you
Carest thou not that I perish
I cried out in deep despair
As the waters grew more furious
The way seemed dark and bare
It seemed there was noone who cared
But then came the morning
The waters grew calm and still
And I knew that with the dawning
You were at work at the wheel
I heard you speak, Peace, be still
The winds grew calm around me
The waves they rushed no more
The waters that raged in my life's sea
Were more silent than ever before
And I at last reached the shore
