Four fourteen a.m. and the clock just looking back
The only thing to change as I’m still looking at this page
Stark white hasn’t made a move to black
So many threads run across my head
But here I am poised upon the stage
Two hours later, nothing more has come
Looked for inspiration in conversations
You’d think that I’d find some
No, you’re not in the words of those online
Nor in the wind, nor in the passing time
Just give me words worthwhile
Your message I want to say
Just give me thoughts coherent
Worth causing me to stay
Author notes
Probably not worth keepoing... looking for inspiration and all I found was more of the same blank pages.
Please tell me what you think... or is that stink?

Very good... I think all poets (writers and artists) have experienced this from time to time.
The blank page...the blank canvas. So intriguing and terrifying at the same time.
Definately a keeper.

For clarification, the subject of the second stanza is God, from whom I would be seeking inspiration.

Hi Michael, Well first I will answer your author's notes and say your poem is worth keeping. Your rhyme scheme is different then I am use to but I think it works well with your poem.
To the content of your poem I could tell you struggle with wanting to find something to write. I think we all lose our muse from time to time. When I do I look within and get inspired by years of life's experiences or of the beautiful creations God has surrounded us with. And if you need a reason to stay, well for one I enjoy and would miss your poetry. Take care, Sandy

Poetry is hard
But the more you write the easier it becomes, I recently found i have a VERY poetic side so others say [check it out if you want^^] But thats good. All poetry is beautiful in its own way so dont let people tell you its not. I cannot however say dont think its not good yourself because i dont like my poetry.....Oh well lol anyway keep up the good work^^
