Enclosed in darkness
Floating on air.
‘Round in circles,
I feel I am bare.
Vulnerable
Yet strong all the same,
Alone,
But somehow not.
With every jolt,
I feel her there.
But wait!
I hear a sound,
Muffled by a million crystals.
And I open my eyes
Expecting the same old nothing
But find it somehow full.
This dreaming blood I lie upon,
Enriched with the love I am.

A very interesting take on the prompt. I had to read it a couple of times It seems to me that a couple of the lines are the mothers thoughts but not at the same time a kind of like a pyshic connection. Thank you for entering my contest.

Thank you for the comment. This is primarily from the unborn child's view but the following lines could possibly be from the mother's as well!
"Vulnerable
Yet strong all the same,
Alone,
But somehow not.
With every jolt,
I feel her there."
Thank you again for the comment

good luck in taht contest -
Whoooaaaaa here's competition! I love the second and third lines of the second stanza, it conjures up the idea that we're not one solid entity and that cells could be crystals. Hummm just me. And the last two lines are fabulous! It's all put together well with a smooth flow. Yes competition all right!
Peace Georgia
