You always ask whats the matter
My mirror broke, Smash and shatter
My reflection no longer shines within
A life imprisoned, Confined to sin
Whats it all mean? You stare at the glass
Scattered on the floor, Suddenly your laying on the grass
Looking over your past
And how things went by
Oh so very fast
Back to the mirror
Pick up a shard
Life is very hard
As you look
Into that shard
Your first love, you suddenly see
How could she do that to me?
Tear my heart out
Without doubt
Ouch!
You prick your finger
Single drop of blood
slowly rolls down your finger
As it falls to the floor
Drip!
You hate the whore
These feelings linger
Feelings of hate
But all for what?
You ask yourself why as you stare
At a shattered, Tattered,
Reflection.

Heartbreak....something that everyone has to go through in their lives.
My favorite part was lines 7-8 because I think that no matter how hard anyone tries, they always look back in the past and think of what happened and how things could've been better.
Using "Reflection" as a title, one knows that this poem is going to be about looking back and examining what happened at some point.
"You always ask whats the matter" as a opening line shows that there is something different in one's life because people can notice a difference in one.
"Reflection." That was a great last line of the poem because you simple restated the title showing once again, everyone reflects on what's happened in the past. Great write! -
