The Little RV on the Hillside

On a hillside in a little valley
with two creeks and a  meadow
is a little RV with three people
on land that needs a backhoe!

With rain that runs most everywhere
down hillside and driveway, too,
that freezes to ice in the winter
causing it to need a rescue!

The summertime meadow is filled
with so many butterflies
and beautiful colors of assorted hues
while many birds do vocalize.

Green trees in the Summer.
Colored trees in the Fall.
Barren trees in the Winter,
while Spring brings buds over all.

The creeks get swollen with rain
making them sometimes impassible.
So we have a tree laying across the creek
to make getting home manageable.

Author notes

In the summertime, the butterflies from the unmowed meadow are so thick that they literally fly into you when you walk down the driveway. It is totally awesome! We have tadpoles and crayfish in the creek, plus tiny little fish.

beautiful, I can "see" myself there. Kind of brings back to the memories of me going camping for a few days at private area last year.

I can almost hear the birds chirping in the springtime and smell the meadow. I can also feel the freezing cold of the rain turned to ice in the winter. Seeing the summer butterflies must be amazing!

very descriptive! I can almost see it. I'll bet it's very peaceful most times. Sitting here in the middle of my neighborhood, I'm jealous!
