Salty streams flowing down the mountains that form my very being.
Feelings of insecurity drown out my hope, as my heart is recklessly pounded by doubt.
Prisoner of myself.
Lost. Hurt. But most of all forgotten by this world of terror and mystery,
Longing to be found by somebody. Anybody. You.
But you don't even know who I am.
I sit and wait for something that I could never have,
Something that inside I don't even want.
Confusion, misread thoughts, make up my life and the path I continue to follow.
Decisions to be made only by myself.
Only I don't trust my judgement on what is best,
Mistakes covered by more mistakes, desperate to be perfect.
Only perfection has been lost.
Running away from problems that affect my everything,
Hiding behind finding the solutions to everybody else's dilemmas
Just so I can escape from my own.
Only you don't understand, you're lost in your bliss ignorance.
You don't care that my world has collapsed around me,
Just so long as yours is securely standing, with you at the center.
Being lost doesn't seem so bad.
Forgotten, appears to be a blessing.
This way nobody is hurt.
