Walking along the railroad tracks,
watching, waiting,
wanting to see what I've marched so long to see.
A car pulls up along side me,
"Ma'am, do you need help?"
I laugh and just keep walking.
I find myself at the steps of a church,
guitar chords and voices flood out,
And I reach towards the handles.
The door swings open,
He brings me inside,,
He cleans my cuts and pains.
"I know you" I say,
"You're why I came all this way"
I fall to the floor.
"What have you been searching for?"
I look up, tears fall down,
"Forgiveness for leaving You."
"My family, my friend,
You're the only one I had,
and then I ran like you were never there."
"My Child, you may have ran,
My Child, you may have left me behind
But my Daughter, I have never left you alone."
