A friend called concience

Missing image
She is the shadow of the mind
who guides you to the sun.

The one who tends the wounded
when every gauntlet's run.

She is the whisper in the sigh
that quiet solace brings,
the warm embrace in the night
as soft as angel's wings.

She is conscience, let her in
she'll be a friend for life,
so share with her your smiles and tears
your happiness and strife.

This is wonderful! I like the concept of Conscience being a she. I love the whole series of ideas here"The shadow of the mind/who guides you to the sun" In the third stanza the first line almost implies the last sensually.

    Nice Di

Very well done. This line"the warm embrace in the night" needs one more count. If I may "the warm embrace held in the night"

    Very warm and beautiful Di.

    SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!!!!

So many times has my conscience been by my side and guided me through some difficult times. So far it has always won over temptation and I am proud to say always will for I will never shut it out.

Primo piece! Great use of metaphoric ideal on the image provided.Reading is smooth and a meter is heard. It's also sound advice.
