I sprawl out along these sheets
looking for the last remnants of your smell
closing my eyes
& trying to recall last night.
& maybe I lied a little to momma about it,
but I couldn't tell her about the faces I made,
the way my body moved as he moved his fingers across my waist
the way his eyes twinkled as I bite his neck
& the way we said "i love you" under our breath as we sweat
to the beat of the Paramore song playing inside my head.
[& sex was written all over our faces,
as we grinded until the sun came up
giving you scratch marks down your chest
& you giving me bruises along mine.
we slept until the sun went down
our arms resting across each other's bodies
with dreams of wall dances & hollywood romances playing repeatedly.]
It was a feeling I hadn't felt.
I used to cover my eyes when it got to this part.
[oh god, he's taking his pants off, what do I do?]
Standing there like a wallflower wasn't the fashion.
Instead of being pushed, I pulled you up against the wall.
[Sprinkles of shower water against our bodies,
forming a sleek coat on our skin,
& a rhythm on my lips]
We fell, we fell hard inside a romanticism,
we stepped over the line marked: do not cross.
♥♥♥
[We're such rebels, darling.]

Oh darling, I know exactly how you feel... I miss mine more than anything too, even after a fight... But this feeling. You've captured it perfectly. Especially the first stanza- I've done that countless times...
Keep up the crazily kickass work and don't worry, 'cause he'll be home again soon I'll bet
