This reminded me of how, when some emeralds are first mined, they just look like bits of green rock mixed with some black in them, until they are cut, faceted, polished, and some say, that's when the beauty comes out. I love the green stones (including jade)~~can't help it (green is just my favorite color).
I also love the brevity of this piece. I am a huge fan of little micro poems that say much with few words. Thank you for writing this for my contest, and for sharing your talent.
