Salome

The moon is a vamp,
Salome decked out in seven veils
of pink and red.

Her soft glow radiates
in sensual curves, undulating,
a song of mystery
reaches out in canticles of color.

Salome, seduce me!
Take my wandering eyes,
imprint your body, ethereal sensuality,
on the dreams of lifetimes to come.

Wrap your arms around my rhythm,
capture the lights of bustle,
help me to levitate and flow
into the velvet desire
of your wanton gaze tonight.

I am the moon,
the off beat hip of the universe
struck in a pose.

I am the vamp,
a creature made for this
eternal dance,
a shimmer in a velvet moment.

Salome ...

Please tell me what you think

Beautiful write. This was a very sensual piece. I liked the part of the moon. It gave the poem a spiritual aspect to it and of how the moon in astrology kind of represents feminism, like the lunar cycle. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen flowing.

    nicely done B
It has a touch of sadness to it, but the entire thing is written in beauty (in my eyes anyway!)
lol - where do you come up with these sorts of things???

It comes from my mind I think. I was watching the lunar eclipse and felt inspired. I was also in a sensual frame of mind and could not help myself. The sadness could be because the eclipse was so fleeting. I would like to challenge you to write something for me, but I will send you a message for that. Thanks for being the first to comment on this hun.
