Life's a long and winding road
It leads to everywhere,
All the friends you haven't met,
New cultures that are there.
Fresh people in most places,
Reminders of our past.
Hope that our frustrations
Will move away at last.
Walk with me along this track
The sunshine on your face,
Leave the shadows far behind,
Just set a steady pace.
Enjoy the path you travel,
Rest often on the way,
Give all the joys of friendship
To someone you meet today.
If I gave away all I have
I'm still in debt, you see,
To those I met along the way
Who gave so much to me.
We all travel, for work, play, holidays, or just for interest sake.

Beautiful. Just a delight to read. The flow was so steady. Love the third verse especially. This poem gives me a feeling of serenity, of being on a stroll through a park or dusty road surrounded by trees. I am glad i came across this one and you put it back. Do you have them in a folder close by? I keep all my poems on my mammoth drive and on a disk. Great one with no need to change anything.

I store my stuff on an internet site as draft. That means it can't be seen by all and sundry. I really appreciate your comments on my stuff as it helps me to find what is readable and whats not. Also you have an inate ability to find any discrepencies. Much better than some who just say 'That,s great', and nothing else. Many thanks. once again.
