turn my pages

lets turn the pages,
to see where i have been.
lets go back through,
where i have been.
in this life of nonsense and chaos.
roaming as one can.
to become a star.
up on that stage, where all eyes are on me.
knowing that what i am doing is sinful, but in the least it is something.
to know that i am not a woman that all them truly want.
a woman scorned, and wants to get revenge.
to know that i cant settle for just one.
to know that i am that girl that is in the corner of that restaurant...
eyeing that married man.
to know that i will have him for just one night.
taking him away from all that was his,
and watch his life go down the drain
as mine has so long ago.
to preform as only i can,
to not be taught how to move as i have.
to have it just come naturally.
million miles from 'home'
on the road again to get that one last catch of him
doing what he has done to me before.
i don't want to do much more of this.
but its all i know.
and as the pages turn,
i am faced again to run- to roam.
turning the pages again as my life unfolds.
