I’ve got sunshine under my fingernails
the shimmer of stars stuffed in the toe of my sock
clear skies sown into the lining of my purse
and the smell of lilacs and fresh cut grass
trapped in a glass jar hidden in the back of my closet.
In a months time I will shake them loose
Spring

    Excellent!

Love the subtle humour in your choice of quirky images (and the title), making the point so effectively without going on too long. The only part I think could be better is the one word last line. I could suggest something but only if you want me to.

Beautifully written. Your poem explains your smile: knowing all those wonderful things are close at hand.
